Church librarian arrested, failed to register as sex offender

Two from the Lawrence (Mass.) Eagle-Tribune: On January 8, 2005, it reported that “the librarian at the Methuen Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was arrested yesterday at his Andover home and charged with failure to register as a sex offender, police said. [He] is the second person associated with the local Mormon church arrested this week on sex-related charges.” There is a follow-up story on January 9.

    How reassuring
    He said he had not been ‘diddling’ every child who walked by.

    Well that is reassuring.

    Now a Mormon library job would probably include a LOT of geneaology work. That would make my head hurt. I can’t see myself applying for this open position.

    I loved the line about grabbing a neighbor boy’s crotch to show him what he shouldn’t be doing. I wish I knew about that in college when my dorm mates pot disappeared. No, someone smoked it to show you what not to do.
