Lee Hadden writes: ” The Washington Post has an obituary of a Japanese writer who fought
official censorship for many years.
They say he was a Japanese historian who devoted his life to battling
government censorship of Japan’s wartime atrocities in school textbooks.
He had been a professor at Tokyo University of Education, now University
of Tsukuba.
