According to Albany NY’s Times Union, backers of the Castleton Village Library director Darlene Miller who was fired last month came to a Town Board meeting Thursday seeking answers but did not get any.
Miller was fired from the $40,000 post by the library board of directors on Sept. 18. Library board members have called the matter a personnel issue and have said they won’t comment. They could not be immediately reached Thursday.
Miller’s supporters have said the move was made as a result of a long-standing disagreement between the board of trustees and Miller over programs. Supporters have started a blog “We Want Our Librarian Back!”
