Michael noticed A Chicago Tribune Story on Washington Park, Illinois.

The village of 5,300 has 5 strip clubs, that offer clubs offer a steady and seemingly endless flow of income for a village with an annual budget of $3.8 million.

Club owners pay $30,000 a year for their adult-entertainment license, plus the city collects a $1 admission tax for each customer that passes through the doors.

They don’t say how many librarians they employ.

“There might be some economic benefit, but I don’t think they’re good for neighborhoods,” he said. “I wouldn’t want every entrance to my town to have a strip club on the corner.”
