Canada’s Bookish solitudes

The Ottawa Citizen’s Paul Gessell says Canada’s two top literary prizes have completely different lists this year. The finalists for the English fiction prize in the annual Governor General’s Literary Awards were announced yesterday and not one of the names had also been included in the earlier released list of Giller Prize finalists.
