Butte Woman offers 35K Books to Charity

Anonymous Patron writes Missoulian: A Butte MT woman is leaving town and offering her collection of 35,000 books free to any charity willing to haul them off her property.

“We just don’t have the room,” said Dagmar Dow, who bought the books at estate, garage and library sales and has been selling them online for the past four years.

The collection fills Dow’s basement and garage and various nooks and crannies around the house. The books – which Dow has carefully catalogued – are paperback and hardback and range from fiction and nonfiction to children’s literature and cookbooks. Dow believes some are collectible.”
