Book will stay in WA High School library

A controversial book on hip-hop poetry will stay on the shelves in the Sequim High School Library. In a 5-0 vote last night, the school board agreed the book’s use of “edgy” words were not enough to pull it from library circulation, despite an appeal from Sequim community member Tim Richards. Richards originally brought the complaint in March after his 17-year-old son brought the book home.
