Board adds 65 librarian positions in schools

Anonymous Patron writes The Toronto Star Reports In a shocking turn of events, the Toronto District School Board voted last night to add 65 full-time librarian positions to its elementary schools at a cost of $4.8 million.

At a meeting where it was feared the board would cut 70 education assistants, it decided not only to keep those jobs at a cost of $2.5 million, but also to add library staff even though trustees won’t know where the money will come from until some time in May.”
