After her site was inundated with hits from individuals seeking Hurricane Katrina info, she decided to transform her site into a clearinghouse for hurricane information including individuals searching for relatives and friends.

From her site:
This website was designed seven years ago as part of my business in web design and computer consultation. Because my first name is the same as the hurricane that recently hit the southern United States, I have had an overwhelming number of “hitsâ€? on this site. In an effort to be of some assistance, I have provided links to various government agencies and private entities. I also have provided a message board to assist individuals in locating family and friends.”
