Bathroom stall no place for lewd messages

A patron of a Huddersfield (UK) library was angered over graffiti left in a gent’s toilet stall for over two weeks. The graffiti invited young boys to participate in lewd acts for money and gave a phone number. The patron declined to fill out a complaint form, thinking it an urgent matter that would be taken care of immediately. When he returned two weeks after first seeing the message, it was still there. He was offered another complaint form after alerting desk staff the second time. More here from Huddersfield.co.uk.

    Two cases of stupidity.
    Case number 1: Bureaucracy run amok.

    Case number 2: A citizen too hidebound by procedure to ring the local police himself and ask them to investigate this case of pedophilic solicitation.

    Day’s like this I don’t hold out much hope for the human race.

    After many years of not having any toilets in the bookshop my girlfriend works in they installed some. Sadly within a short time the staff were getting upset at the material left in there – and now you have to ask for a “token” in order to use the toilet.

    Ridiculous.

    But what a great way to get someone into trouble. Write a lewd message, put their cell-phone number at the bottom…
