for March 11, 2002, page B1, is an article \”Archivists Save Record of
Internet\’s Response to the Sept 11 Attacks.\”

Many of the Internet pages that went up after the assault have come
back down. Six months is almost an eternity in the digital age. However,
many of these ephemeral webpages and e-records have been saved \”…thanks
to archivists who have made it their mission to preserve digital records
the same way librarians safeguard newspapers and letters.\”
