Alabama State To Consider Ban On Books Promoting Homosexual Lifestyle

Anonymous Patron writes “An NBC TV Station in Alabama reports a bill that will be considered by the Alabama Legislature Wednesday could ban certain books from all public facilities, officials said.

Officials said the bill would prohibit public funds and facilities such as schools and libraries from promoting a homosexual lifestyle.”

    I didn’t know ….
    I didn’t know that the Alabama legislators were all librarians. How wonderful for Alabama.

    At least I assume they are all librarians, as librarians should be the ones doing collection development.

    Gay Lifestyle?
    What would a book promoting a “gay lifesytle” look like? Better Homes and Gardens? Would it show gays doing such gay things as mowing the lawn? Grocery shopping? Washing the car? Loving their kids and families? Maybe the Alabama legislature should ban all gays from appearing to do “normal” things in public. It might confuse some into believing they were, like, everyday folks.
