Okay, so I know this is banned books week, and we’re supposed to be supporting everyone’s right to read what they want.
And I’ll freely admit that I know next to nothing about the Kilby Correctional Facility, or the Alabama legal system in general.
Still…I’d always thought that being in prison meant you lost a lot of your rights and freedoms, with what you could and could not do being primarily dictated by state and institutional policy.
