ALA President Hayden Gets Call From Ashcroft

Ashcroft assured Hayden that he was as committed as ever to civil liberties and to the declassification of a Justice Department report on Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act. Hayden said she welcomed the call from Ashcroft and sees it as “an important first step toward having the information needed for meaningful public oversight and accountability.” More here from ALA’s website.
