From miracle diets to creationism to rumors about the origins of 9/11, a new book traces our irrational love of misinformation.

Excerpt: The U.S. government blew up the twin towers. The AIDS virus was engineered by scientists to kill African-Americans. Chinese explorers landed on American shores in 1421. Crystals will heal you. Aliens landed at Roswell. The Priory of Sion is protecting the secrets of the Messianic bloodline. Barack Obama is a Muslim.
If you believe any of those propositions, you are … well, let’s tack toward charity. You have been swept along in a tide that the British polemicist Damian Thompson likes to call “Counterknowledge.”
1421
The article mentions the book 1421 : the year China discovered America. If you do some research on the book there are several sources that indicate that the premise of the book is false.
Should libraries move the book out of history and put it in another section or label it as pseudohistory?
If librarians will not let books in the door that are about creationism or gay cures shouldn’t they remove books like 1421 once they are found to be incorrect? Over 1800 libraries have the 1421 book. (At least according to WorldCat)

and frankly i think it is despicable! When taking in new ideas we should all judge things with critical thinking skills
but Their is nothing to prove one way or another, as of yet, which of these are true or false. It’s not wrong to consider alternative possibilities to what mainstream society believes is real. There could have been life on mars millions of years ago, and who would know for sure. I believe their is some compelling evidence that proves the government failed to stop the nine elven attacks. I believe that holistic healing can and does help people become well; I’d like to see some one disprove it. Frankly, i think the intervention theory is better than straight up creationism or evolution. and that’s just it; it is my right to believe in any thing i want to as long as i don’t force it on other people. That’s the problem with the religious right is that, they cram their believes down other people’s throats. “The “premise that salvation is through Christ alone” is a statement laden with value judgments and rests upon the presupposition that there is but one God and that this one God has a plan for all humankind.” (http://www.journalgazette.net/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080927/FEAT04/809270360)
I don’t ask you to believe in every thing i do but at least be respectful of my right to believe. especial since you never know when one of those so called impossible theories might hold some true. Most of the world use to think the world was flat and the sun revolved around the earth, and if you had told them they were wrong they would have called you a quack too.

And frankly I think you are a loon.
