A challenge to graphic novels

Fang-Face writes “The First Amendment Center posted a piece titled
As more graphic novels appear in libraries, so do challenges
. The article, from Associated Press, reports on the difficulty Ms. Amy Crump is having in developing a collection of such works at the Marshall Public Library in central Missouri. Two such works, autobigraphical in nature, have been condemned as “pornography”. And there was the usual declamations about misspending of tax-payer dollars.“

    Here’s the link. If there’s a problem it is the library profession’s inability to grasp the concept that graphic novels aren’t just for kids.
