A book that never ends?

Kevin Maney Says The digital age — and devices such as the Kindle e-book — could change the art of storytelling forever. And not necessarily in a good way.

Certainly, I hope this is the way books evolve in the digital age. An alternative scenario, in which authors tend to their books as bloggers do, changing stories, facts or characters over time, would drive authors crazy and be the end of books as they’ve been known for 400 years. Traditional authors would become as scarce as classical composers. Money and sanity would lie only in short-burst writing, the prose equivalent of pop songs.
