Bloomsday in Ireland

For the Joyceans out there, an important day is approaching on June 16, Bloomsday.

Among other celebrations, the National Library of Ireland will commemorate the occasion with a variety of events, including three short films running all day, ‘Controversy and censorship: Ulysses in the public eye’; ‘Joyce’s contemporary legacy’; and, ‘An enduring relationship: James Joyce and the National Library of Ireland’ and a virtual Ulysses Notebooks installation which uses ‘turning pages technology’ to bring various Ulysses manuscripts to life.

If you’ve yet to read/finish/get around to the real thing, this abbreviated version of Ulysses just might do.
