I don’t understand that when we let our kids listen to club songs, it’s cool for them to be trusted on the entertainment aspect of it to say things like, “Ey bay-bay, whoop that trick, fuck that bitch, fuck that nigga, I’m a killin ass nigga, and I kill niggas, I’m the baddest ho, and I’ll steal yo man and give him aids, I don’t have a house, but I have a chain around my neck, and I rep modern slavery while on a substance with pride,” then it’s all good on 106th and Park. Why? Cuz it’s a bangin’ hot beat with a catchy phrase, ok’d by THE BIG NAMED COMPANIES, we won’t say who, cuz they makin major figgas off of ignant niggas?…whoa! Yeah, I have had my nigga times in my life, and I like rap, and it’s not all nice stuff sitting next to Common, Badu, and the Heavenly slickness of Metamorphisis, so slow down. Too Short was my guy all day, and you can still catch me with some C-bo, DJ Quick, Ice Cube and so on with the new artist’s joints. I support Black and I love to watch our music grow. BUT check me out. Reverse Psychology is real if we use it periodically, to keep us grounded with the truth. That negative shit is choice entertainment, and shouldn’t be scripture. Pop-lock it drop it with the real, and really listen to READ A BOOK, then go to the hood and tell me what you see? AND YOU ARE MAD? Well be mad at your part in it, cuz I saw your music collection. Through song, we teach each other to cheat, kill, steal and to destroy each other. Babies watch what we do, and they get to learn that they are less than valuable to society, other than trying to have some bling, or to catch a ho, or be a fly-ho when they grow up. Our kids sit in the audience and cheer it all on, no matter how bogus. And they believe that shit beyond entertainment. Then we amplify it when we bump it in our cars through subs and such and take our grown self to the club, and get crunk and drunk after work. But if a man says. “READ A BOOK READ A BOOK READ A MUTHAFUCKIN BOOK NIGGA,” people want to be all anti-truth? So who’s ignorant? What’s the definition of a nigga? I say got-dammit, brush yo got-damn teeth, buy some land not rims, get healthy, wear deodorant nigga/bitch, and read a muthafuckin book if that’s the only way you can hear me tell you the truth so you’ll listen. I write about this stuff all of the time so what? Read! And start with the Tavis Smiley hit! If that’s too heavy, then read GOD, I RESPECT YA GANGSTA for those church folk who skip the chapters on God and hippocrites. OR… Read that Bible Book for those who never heard a dat, and holla back.
