The term ‘podcast’ has been declared Word of the Year by the New Oxford American Dictionary.
The term is defined as “a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the internet for downloading to a personal audio player”. It will be added to the online version of the dictionary during the next update early next year. The BBC Says “This year it’s a completely different story. The word has finally caught up with the rest of the iPod phenomenon.”

Podcasting isn’t for me
It’s funny because I just posted a story about a podcast, but I can’t get into them. I can’t just sit and listen, unless I’m driving somewhere or riding the bus, and I don’t do either of those much. I know folks who can listen to them as they work but I just can’t do it. There are too many distractions!
