42% of Americans don’t use Internet

rohart writes “According to a new study, 42% of Americans don’t use the Internet. “More than half of nonusers said they don’t want Internet access or don’t need it, a study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project found.” Several reasons were given for not using the Internet, including lack of access, being intimidated by new technology, and having access, but not getting a chance to use it because of computer hogs. A portion of the non-users are confirmed members of the Lud Club and ‘views their nonuse as a source of pride and “are delighted to reject such a popular technology,” the report said.’ A Washington Post article.
