—————Maybe I\’ll do this. Need more
information. Would like to take courses toward a
degree (while I work). The influence of technology
(e.g. the Internet) on libraries interests me.

.——————There must be a way to integrate
practice into LIS PhD degrees. Taking active practice
out of the equation leads to stagnation, which
(rightly) leads to lack of respect from those out
there in the trenches every day.–

I think a web-based doctorate would be very
successful, since many librarians would like to
further their education but may not be in geographic
or financial situation to relocate or go to school
full-time.———-I am not a librarian.-
