RSS Submit Promotes Feeds to 80 Directories

ksoft writes "ksoft announces the release of version 2.2 of RSS Submit, a utility to automatically promote RSS feeds and podcasts to feed-specific directories, for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP.

With the pending release of Windows Vista, RSS feeds are set for the mainstream. Just as web page promotion requires skilled SEO techniques, so too must RSS feeds in order to gain subscribers. RSS Submit brings easy feed promotion to all users.

Keith Tipton writes "Rice University: Using the open-source e-publishing platform Connexions, Rice University Press is returning from a decade-long hiatus to explore models of peer-reviewed scholarship for the 21st century. The technology offers authors a way to use multimedia -- audio files, live hyperlinks or moving images -- to craft dynamic scholarly arguments, and to publish on-demand original works in fields of study that are increasingly constrained by print publishing."

"Revenge of the Book Eaters" - a Tour to Promote Children's Literacy

Starting on a six-city tour, the Revenge of the Book Eaters may (or may not) be coming to a theater near you (shows now through October in NYC, Chicago, LA, SF, Seattle and Ann Arbor). Stars of comedy (Jon Stewart), rock (David Byrne) and the literary world (Dave Eggers) will appear to help raise money for non-profit writing centers for children. The unique title of the show comes from a story written at a Brooklyn-based writing center by ten-year-old Rafaello Adler-Abramo.
