Supreme Court Looks At Porn In Libraries.

The US Supreme Court
is hearing oral arguments today (2003/03/05) concerning CIPA,
the Children\’s
Internet Protection Act
, as to whether or not library patrons will
be allowed discretion as to what they view on Internet enabled library
computers.  The bill forces the use of filtering
software
on any public library that accepts federal money.  The
filters are supposed to eliminate minor\’s exposure to full
frontal nudity
and other obscene
content
, unfortunately, filters
have severe failings
.  The ALA
was one of the forces that convinced a
three federal judge panel
to overturn the law last year (2002/05/31).

To maintain such relentless productivity, Dr. Ambrose would rise each morning

Document Misclassification Gives Terrorism Defendant Classified Intelligence…

While
it\’s not believed  terrorism
defendant Zacarias Moussaoui read the intelligence
documents before they were removed from his jail cell, the WashingtonPost
declares that \”the incident represents another odd event in the chaotic
case and marks the latest gaffe involving document control at the FBI.\”
The FBI triple checked his cell to confirm that all of the \”50 classified
FBI reports\” that hadn\’t been properly classified were removed from his
possession. Post journalist Dan Eggen writes:

\”Many of the reports were generated by FBI agents who were
drafted into the Sept. 11 investigation and were not schooled in handling
classified information. They did not properly label the documents, one
FBI official said.\”

ABCNEWS
reported three weeks ago that \”the material β€” both on disk and as hard
copy documents β€” was sent to Moussaoui as part of discovery for his legal
defense, said several legal sources, including one at the Justice Department.\”

school conducts \”\”an aggressive investigation.\”\” In addition to admission
status, financial aid application information and personal and academic
preferences were accessible via the poorly secured logons.

the doctor clicks on \”primary options.\” The computer goes into its vast
database of medical knowledge -originally compiled by PKC Corp. librarians
and updated every six months on CDs or over the Internet – and matches
up the patient\’s answers with all the known symptoms for various causes
