If you think you had a bad day at work, consider what happened to A 40-year-old librarian in NJ. A city librarian said he was bitten on the face by a man who was cursing in the library’s children’s section.
The 40-year-old librarian told police a man later identified as Abdul Harley, 34, of First Avenue in Manhattan, was cursing in the children’s area and disturbing readers inside the Park Avenue library on Wednesday at 11:43 a.m. The librarian said he asked Harley if he needed help, and Harley refused – using another expletive, the librarian said.
Harley then jumped up and attacked the librarian, punching and biting him on the face and finger, then fled. The librarian was taken to Hoboken University Medical Center for treatment.
Thoughts
1) If someone bit my face I would probably beat them unconscious or dead. Actually if someone was beating me so badly that they could bite my face I would probably shoot them.
2) If this pinhead had in his posession 98 pirated copies of various CDs and DVDs it seems that $1000 cash bond is a bit low. This should be bumped up to Federal Court. Pirating, and selling pirated (for personal financial gain) is indeed a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2319 which calls for five years in Federal Prison. This scumbag (should he be convicted) should do some heavy duty prison time. Perhaps there he can work on his mental health issues.
3) Every librarian should write to the US Attorney for New Jersey and tell him how appalled we are that this criminal who has such contempt Intellectual Property which we as librarians hold sacrosanct is not already in prison. Or you could just tell him that as a librarian you think this idiot should rot in prison and he is the guy to make it so.
Don’t deserve to live
Savages like this do not deserve to exist. I would have no hesitation shooting him multiple times, in the head.
