For the library nerd who also happens to be a Star Trek nerd, it’s nice to see one of the actors from The Next Generation is not only a nerd himself, but a big fan of the library too.
Wil Wheaton, better known as Wesley Crusher from ST:TNG, writes in his blog regarding his recommendations on literature dealing with happy topics like zombies, nuclear holocaust, and general end of the world stuff. If you’re at all into titles like Monster Island or World War Z, you should check it out.
Besides, when was the last time LISNews linked to Suicide Girls?
Maybe it’s not been linked to before
as it gets blocked by peoples firewalls for being ‘Adult materials’?
Re:Maybe it’s not been linked to before
Sure it does. But, and this is only a guess, I would think that many of us can, will, and do access LISNews from home. I don’t know about your home, but mine doesn’t use any blocking software.
I don’t know about the rest of the folks out there, but I’m usually too busy to really read LISNews at work.
Re:Maybe it’s not been linked to before 🙂
In my job description it says something along the lines of ‘keep up to date with developments in the Library world on websites and e-mail lists’ so I am working right now
I do find a lot of very useful reference sites or useful links on here that are not only useful for me professionally as a Librarian or personally but also for general information, knowledge and resources for my users.
I will be checking it out when I go home in a couple of hours though. I loved World War Z so am interested to see what other similar fiction there is around.
