Interesting One Out of PA where The state minimum wage hike to $6.25 last week did not go unnoticed at the Cumberland County Library System; which estimates it will spend $150,000 to adjust salaries in 2007.
Jonelle Darr, library system executive director, says all staff members were being immediately bumped to $6.25 last week. All employees will receive some pay increase by July 1 when the state increases the minimum wage to $7.15.
Why was it low to begin with?
The Cumberland Library system is at at fault for paying their employees such a low wage to begin with. I don’t feel sorry for the director or his problems.

You said it! This situation just sounds sad, but altogether common.
