Death of a libary Cat

Here is a sad
from Michigan Live
on the tragic death of a beloved Libary

\"Residents of the rural Michigen
community are mourning Deuce\'s loss after the cat
was mauled to death by two dogs Friday while it was
resting on the building\'s steps.\"

of the departed cat.\"He was more than an animal. He was a friend to the
whole town,\" said Jane Heiss, the library\'s branch

The two dogs, a German shepherd and an American
bulldog, had been seen loose in the area earlier that
day by residents who contacted Kent County Animal
Control to capture them.

Austin Gates, program manager at the county animal
shelter, said the bulldog was captured after Friday\'s
attack and the shepherd\'s owner voluntarily brought in
the dog -- which apparently has attacked someone in
the past -- to be put to sleep.
