Gen y in the library

All the talk about how libraries are losing the younger generation is apparently just that...talk. A survey done by Pew Internet & American Life Project found that the biggest group is actually Generation Y, the 18-30 year olds. While they may no longer be using the library for what we would call "traditional" reasons, they are using the library.

Why youngers avoid using the libraries

I think there is no awareness about the importance of the libraries.youngers felt the libraries are just for the old people. They have spent their life.So there is a big responsibiity that should be taken by the all library associations through out the world. They should take a step to change this concept and create awareness and stress on the importance of libraries in all over the world.I request to all Library Associations and the management should play a part and save the libraries.
