As plain as I can make it - war bad for terror

In light of mdoneil's recent assertions of world peace through annihilation, I thought I'd try one more time to explain how the President's policy of "fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here" has been a measurable failure.

I'd prefer comments on AlaskanLibrarian, but I'll check back here Friday to see what discussion , if any is going on here.

Tomorrow, I'll be cruising Tracy Arm (scroll down for images) with my wife and friend from Texas. If you visit Southeast Alaska, it is a journey worth making!

Tracy Arm!

We didn't see that until our most recent Alaska cruise, when the Crystal Harmony devoted a day to it. On the way in, the captain was informed that another, bigger, cruise ship said "nope, you can't really go very far, too much ice." Maybe too much ice for the bigger ship...but we went way up the fjords, as far as the hundred-passenger expedition ships. Glorious, remarkable, breathtaking, and not flooded with tourists...what can I say?

Re:Tracy Arm!

We went in a tiny vessel, which you can see in my latest post at Alaskan Librarian. Post also contains links to my other pictures of Tracy Arm.Really outstanding, and in words I was too tired to give it justice.
