What a Republican Cry Baby

Even an infant in diapers, whose native language is German, doesn't want to associate with Bush the baby-killer. And Bush doesn't look at all happy about that:

By the by, why does this put me in mind of that propagandist news report out of Baghdad several years ago when Saddam staged a friendly meeting with some hostages and the young man in the family practically had to be shoved at him when Saddam wanted to show how friendly and nice a guy he could be?

Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

Vielleicht Sie mochten der Magen des Baby Bush gekusst wie Ihren Kamerad Herr Putin hatte?

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

How odd. Langtolang.com finds your sentence is a load of flapdoodle. At least it couldn't translate about half the words. Now, I am willing to admit that it's not likely to be a comprehensive dictionary, although my prejudices tend to conclude that you cannot communicate in foreign languages any better than you can in English.

And what, pray tell, does Putin have to do with Bush? Are you now intimating that Bush is some kind of Putin-Stepford clone and is acting on the direction of the Kremlin?

Should the rest of us be wearing aluminum foil hats and irridescent sunglasses to block the laser-beams from the robo-hummingbirds?

P.S. Finally got it. Looks as if I was right and you can't communicate any better in foreign languages. According to http://translation2.paralink.com/ you wrote:

Maybe you might the stomach of the baby Bush gekusst like your companion Mr. Putin had?

Kindly check the spelling of gekusst or provide the idiom to which it belongs. And I wouldn't put up with Putin any more than I put up with Bush. I've told you before that I regard ALL politicians with the same distaste. Pity you just can't seem to gestalt that concept.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

You are an idiot Fang. Idiot.

Better to have not broached your ignorance, but since you insist.

First, here is "canned translation" of my sentence from your link to source at Translation 2.

"Maybe you might the stomach of the baby Bush kissed like your companion Mr. Putin had?"

Now another from today's Der Spiegel.

"Ãœber viereinhalb Millionen Arbeitslose, Renten- und Krankenkassen, die zu wenig einnehmen, aber zu viel ausgeben, ein kompliziertes und ungerechtes Steuersystem sowie Billionen-Schulden im Haushalt."

Translated to: "More than 4,5 million unemployed persons, pension funds and health insurance schemes which take not enough, but too much are economical, a complex and unfair control system as well as trillion debts in the household."

Clear as mud... or as my sentence.

Kindly check the spelling of gekusst or provide the idiom to which it belongs.

This is a conjugated verb for the past perfect tense. You may have heard of an umlaut at some time or another? Try one over the "u" here and see what you get. Unfortunately Daniel's site doesn't provide for typing diacritics but since I'm hand feeding...you're welcome.

My sentence, contrary to your cut and paste translator, is quite correct.

And what, pray tell, does Putin have to do with Bush? Are you now intimating that Bush is some kind of Putin-Stepford clone and is acting on the direction of the Kremlin?

Putin kissed boy 'like a kitten'

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

No dog in this fight but the sentence is technically correct.

Die Gotterdammerung; Whither America?

First drink, hero, from my horn:I spiced the draught well for youTo waken your memory clearlySo that the past shall not slip your mind!-Hagen to SiegfriedDie Gotterdammerung=========There is no shortage of things to shudder at and lament in this current spiral of death in the Levant. But what stands out to me right now is the seeming irrelevance and marginality of the United States.http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/jul/1 5/whither_america

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

An idiot for pointing out that your attempt to communicate was an utter failure?

Tomeboy, if that is the case then you an incoherent fool. I'm guessing that you have never once considered just what translation does to the transmission of concepts, have you? Or that there are idioms in every language which are simply untranslatable? If you had a pico-volume of the brains you pretend to have you would have posted that sentence in English instead of trying to be pretentious and smart-alecky.

Five bucks says you never thought about what dropping that umlaut would mean, either. The code for which is ampersand, pound sign, 168, semicolon; which renders as ¨. When using it positioned over a letter however, you need to enter: ampersand, letteruml, semicolon: ü.

You'd think loud-mouthed pompous-asses who pretend to be able to look up information would be able to find that sort of tidbit in a milieu that contains a significant proportion of the world's information about grammar and language.

And your self-righteous posturing doesn't fool me in the least bit; I knew damned well when I saw the German that you figured you be able to make me look stupid. I doesn't at all surprise me that you couldn't get it right.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

. . . the sentence is technically correct.

It's not about the sentence being correct or incorrect, it's about Tomeboy's right-wing tactic of deflecting attention away from the fact that Bush came across as more like Saddam Hussein than anything.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

The code for which is ampersand, pound sign, 168, semicolon...

Oh well hell, and here I thought it was semicolon, dollar sign, 186.

Friend if I didn't know about this I certainly would not have been equipped to educate you for your "cut and paste" decoding here. BTW your "gestalt" should be capitalized.

I (sic) doesn't at all surprise me that you couldn't get it right.

Au contraire (hint when pasting, it's French). It is your understanding, better lack thereof, of German that's in question here. My sentence is correct Fang. Just as the next is in the present tense.

Küssen Sie meinen Esel.

By gum it works!

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

Sounds like you can't admit that the sentence was technically correct (according to an anonymous poster) and you aren't mature enough to say it. Then again, ain't nothing new.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

And still you prefer to engage in pretentious unsinn instead of attempting to communicate.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

Sounds like you can't admit that the sentence was technically correct

Which part of "the correctness of the sentence is not the issue" did you fail to understand? The correctness of the sentence is totally irrelevant to the action under discussion. Tomeboy posted a statement in a fashion that was clearly meant to obfuscate rather than transmit information. Whether or not he got the grammar correct is not important.

If it was so irrelevant, why did you open the door by mentioning it?

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

That was a jab at Tomeboy's general incoherence, not at the grammar of the sentence.

By the way, what do you think about Bush's having come across as more like Saddam than anything?

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

Babies cry when they are passed to me. I have neither killed untold numbers of Kurds nor started a senseless war.

I think it's pretty irrelevant...

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

You know, sometimes a picture of a crying baby is a picture of a crying baby. You probably don't have kids but here is a news flash, they tend to cry (especially when they are babies). I think Shoe summed it up pretty well, totally irrelevant.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

I'll clarify all of it for both of you. Tomeboy is a Nazi idiot. FangFace is a Stalinist moron. Both are irrelevant to the world at large. In one hundred years, no one will remember either of them.

Re:Sprechen Sie Unsinn?

Sorry to burst your little bubble of delusion, but while Tomeboy is an idiot, he is certainly not a Nazi idiot. And your idea that the world will not remember either of us in a hundred years is not necessarily true. The actions both of us take today will continue to ripple down through time and there is no telling what effect they might have on the future. Nor is there any telling how long anything archived on the internet will last.
