Politics in Alaska is different. You don't necessarily know what a politician will support by knowing his or her party affiliation. Case in point: I just read that the Green Party candidate for Senate supports the development of a natural gas pipeline. Wanting to roll over wilderness to put in a fossil fuel pipeline isn't something you'd expect from a Greenie. Is it?
For anyone who wants to know, I favor a natural gas pipeline. Depending on where it got built, it has great potential to lower energy costs throughout Alaska, which would generate new economic opportunities for us. Possibly even sustainable opportunities with relatively clean energy.
