Libraries face virtual reality

Public libraries such as the Buffalo & Erie County system and academic libraries at the University at Buffalo and elsewhere are building smaller, less comprehensive book collections.
The Buffalo News Calls This the evolution of the modern library, an effort driven by technology and the Internet.
"We are desperately trying to be relevant to as many people who reside in the community as possible," said Michael C. Mahaney, director of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library.

If the B&ECPL wants to be relevant they could try keeping all floors of the library open every day.

Just a thought.
