Ads help pay for magazines at libraries

Is it a good idea to sell ads on magazine covers in libraries? What if the advertiser pays for a two-year subscription for the mags that they want to advertise on? The News Observer has the story.


I don't see it as any different then when someone donates a book or money for whatever reason and the library puts a plate in the book acknowledging it.

We have museum passes and in when you reserve them online there is a spot saying who paid for the subscription. Currently they are all through the Family Friends but if a company donated the money then they would be listed.
