mdoneil writes "The 1st US Circuit Court has ruled that interception of email messages is allowed.
Email service providers may surreptitiously intercept email messages without violating wiretapping laws.
GMail is buying the drinks tonight."

This is a juicy case for librarians to read. Not only does is deal with whether emails can be interecepted but in the case the emails were about Amazon.com and were interecepted by an online book seller.
