Alaska Librarians Get Flashy

Alaskans are known to be a resourceful bunch, and the state’s librarians are no exception. Daniel Cornwall, head of information services at the Alaska State Library, recently won the 2009 LexisNexis/GODORT/ALA Documents to the People Award, in honor of his efforts to promote access to government documents via the Internet—and he’s using his $3,000 prize to launch a new civics outreach to Alaskan schools.
