A survey (conducted by Public Libraries Information Offer, hmmm) says, “Internet users trust library staff more than most other providers of online support and information, and public library staff are second only to doctors in terms of the trust placed in them by seekers of information.”

    My friendly neighborhood librarian trumps my doctor for reliability hands down. (And I like and trust my physician)

      Trust me, I’m a Librarian
      I think this is true, someone who works in a library knows what is involved in all areas of life by reading and seeing all the materials that she has in her collection. She knows where and what to search for when comes to doing research and that stuff with all the resources that she knows. She knows all the different subject areas to look for. That is what she does in her every day job so she has all the knowledge that she can share and assist even to the most academic person.
