A federal lawsuit involving the Wright County Library system and the estate of Laura Ingalls Wilder has gained national attention and support.
“We have been getting responses from all over the country,” said Carrie Cline, a librarian. “People have been e-mailing us, ‘What can I do to help.’”

A federal lawsuit involving the Wright County Library system and the estate of Laura Ingalls Wilder has gained national attention and support.
“We have been getting responses from all over the country,” said Carrie Cline, a librarian. “People have been e-mailing us, ‘What can I do to help.’”
The library system filed a federal lawsuit for royalties from Wilder’s works. In her will, she ordered the rights of her works be turned over to the library in Mansfield, part of the Wright County system, after the death of her daughter Rose Wilder Lane. But, the suit claims, a friend of Lane’s and the heirs of that friend have been cashing in on the sale of her “Little House” books and other merchandise
