On January 11, 26-year-old hacker, programmer, and activist Aaron Swartz committed suicide. He had a history of depression and faced federal prosecution for downloading millions of articles from the online academic article repository JSTOR. Why? It's got nothing to do with them.
They are accountable for scaring him but that's not the same thing.
Also if he'd agreed to the terms of their agreement he wouldn't have got the 30 years etc that was being banded around. If you don't want to do the time then don't do the crime.
