In today's writing world, an author doesn't need to write for traditional media. While there's still a call for books, newspapers, and magazines; video game makers also need writers. Indeed, the quality of writing for video games only goes up year after year as gamers demand ever more emmersive and deeper storylines.
Gabe (aka Mike) over at Penny Arcade posted a plea from BioWare, the maker of some top selling games like Neverwinter Knights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It seems BioWare Austin is looking for some good writers, and they really want good writers.
So if you've got the interest, you can see what it takes to create a story for a computer RPG. It's not as easy as you may think.
