There\’s a new e-book coming to town, and it\’s brought to you by RCA…RCA Unveils New Line of E-Books
Adweek Online: September 18, 2000. RCA and partner,
Gemstar, will introduce and new line of e-books at the \”New
York is Book Country\” fair. These e-books will be reading
devices only that will not require a PC for downloading
content. They are also reported to \”have six- and 12-times
greater video resolution \’than one popular PDA.\’ The REB1100
has a 5.5 monochrome LCD screen, holds 8000 paperback pages
and runs for 20 hours. The REB1200 has less storage and only
runs for 5 hours, but has a 8.5 inch color LCD.
