Major Banned Books Week Fail
This is a major Banned Books Week fail. Right during BBW, news break of a school librarian calling Dr Seuss books racist, bragging about her vaulted training, then telling Melania Trump to screw off. The librarian becomes literally a national joke, an international laughing stock. She even has pictures displayed with her all decked out in a Cat In the Hat costume. Total joke. Right during Banned Books Week. School teacher bans Dr. Seuss for being racist and coming from FLOTUS right during Banned Books Week.
And how do we know this is a major Banned Books Week fail? Because no one at ALA is saying word one about this international joke. Absolute silence. Just like the homophobic actions of OIF are kept in silence.
A discredit to the profession
This woman allowed her political views to ruin her objectivity as a librarian. She is a discredit to the profession.
