Former Blue Mountain library president admits stealing $99,000
The former president of Blue Mountain Community Library in Pen Argyl, PA admitted Friday to stealing nearly $100,000 from it, in a plea agreement under which his wife will be allowed to enter into a first-offender program.

The thefts began in 2001 and were uncovered in October 2010 by board members, Filingo said. Their suspicions had been raised because of problems at the library: the librarian’s income tax withholdings hadn’t been withheld and Blue Mountain was in danger of losing its tax-exempt status because the proper paperwork hadn’t been filed, Filingo said.
