Thieves force mobile libraries off the road
LIBRARY vans were forced off the road after diesel thieves raided their depot for the third time.
About £1,500 of fuel has been drained out of the vans parked at the council depot in Main Road, Skirlaugh.

'The people committing these crimes don't think about what they're doing.'

Yes they do, they're making a lot of money stealing diesel.
I never understand why they think that people wouldn't do something because it's seen as bad. We have people stealing metalwork from graveyards and war memorials being stolen for scrap. Do people really think that stopping mobile libraries is going to make them feel worse?

If anything the theives won't care as they can now freely drive to the closest library building!
