The Texas State Board of Education is listening to recommendations to remove or de-emphasize Cesar Chavez and Thurgood Marshall, among others, in school textbooks.
This comes on the heels of the hard (& mainly religious conservative) Right forces on the Texas SBOE trying to undermine the state's science curriculum standards and failing. It seems they are looking for "softer" targets...
