As a supermodel and chat show host, we're used to seeing Tyra Banks looking stunning in glamorous outfits.
But in a new acting cameo in hit Disney show Shake It Up, the 38-year-old is unrecognisable as geeky librarian Ms Burke.

Original these Disney folks, eh?
Library break-in suspect in South Dakota a real turkey
Authorities investigating an apparent break-in at a public library were surprised to discover the culprit: a 20-plus-pound turkey.
Library director Jeanette Chaney-Moodie tells the Black Hills Pioneer newspaper that she headed into work Sunday morning after authorities called her about the incident.

Ron Charles has several non-book items to recommend as gifts; "the booklie" (super-size one-size fits all, made from the pages of remaindered novels), "spine" (the scent of reading) and the "doogk" (an ereader for our canine friends) among them. Special author appearance by Julie Klam and her doggie. Nice production values!
From the Washington Post's 'totally hip book reviewer'.
To top off your work week, an outrageous video entitled Bestie X Bestie by Dean Fleischer-Camp. Writers/performers/best friends Gabe Liedman and Jenny Slate (formerly of SNL) tell us "What's Wrong With Books".
(may not be appropriate for work or for all viewers...some profanity)
With all the doom and gloom, Sean Bonney, Graphics Designer at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library put together this video to cheer us up.
The video follows one member of the staff as she deals with a string of bizarre patrons. About halfway through, a fabulous disco sparkle segues to our music video, set to the 1978 disco hit, "I Will Survive".
There are three games you can play; the sorting game, the shelving game and the reordering game. There's even a Spanish version. Go to it!
