Budget a big boost for books

I don’t know about you, but I could use some Good News for a change.
Here’s a county in MD that has designated $1.1 million to improve libraries in county schools and bring every elementary school up to state standards. It also has $4.5 million for a new library in Perry Hall.

Money for libraries is just part of the $1.45 billion proposed budget, released April 14.

The Community College of Baltimore County is slated to receive more than $2.3 million in new aid.
