Should Drugs and Sex Support Libraries?

That is the question that has been raised by a commenter in Will Manley's blog Will Unwound. The proposal is to legalize marijuana and prostitution and tax them heavily to help finance publically supported libraries. Reactions are invited

I wish hookers would do this...

to raise money for libraries. it would be awesome to have some new names for those old services:
like "give me a Mark Twain" or "a Shakespeare" "or a straight Faulkner."

Been tried

The legal brothels in Nevada (which can only be foumd outside Clark County) volunteered to do this in 2008 and the state legislature freaked out. I don't see desperation levels high enough yet for this to be passed.
