Library archives seek public's help in identifying collection

Bob Cox sends us this article from the LaCrosse (Wisc.) Tribune. The LaCrosse public library needs the public's help to identify the people and settings of various photos donated to its archives. They're hosting a Photo ID event on March 7th to encourage the community to come out and help identify the who, what and when in these photographs.

It's a good way to get people into the library and may get some of the photos identified as well. Still, I'd hope they'd consider taking the show on the road to local retirement communities and nursing homes as well, as there may be people who can help them identify photos who are unable to leave to get to the library, even with transportation provided.
