Lawnesnetwork has a Story on the Intellectual Property battle that is heating up at colleges across the US.

As the Internet continues to shake up traditional notions of intellectual property, a storm is brewing in academia over the ownership of writings, class notes, and inventions generated by faculty members. This is a \"hot, hot subject,\" said Duke University Law School Professor David Lange. \"It provokes controversy on both sides of the issue.\" According to Lange, some say professional note-takers \"ought to be able to do what they\'re doing.\" Others, however, \"really believe it breathes heavily on the sacred flame [of IP rights].\"
